Job Description

A manufacturing company located in New Braunfels, TX is currently seeking an Electronic Technician to join their team!



This employee is responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies produced by manufacturing as well as performing routine maintenance of electronic production equipment.



Job Duties:




        
  • Familiar with basic Laboratory equipment such as soldering equipment, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.

  •     
  • Must be able to solder, troubleshoot, test and repair electronic assemblies per design specifications.

  •     
  • Understand schematics

  •     
  • Knowledge of multi-level PCB properties

  •     
  • Able to operate SMT and through hole equipment

  •     
  • Performs routine maintenance on electronic production equipment

  •     
  • Able to set up machines for individual PWA production and assists operators also

  •     
  • Troubleshoot basic machine errors (not programming related).

  •     
  • Backup and restore machine databases

  •     
  • KISS machine offline programming

  •     
  • Manage MSL components12. Create and manage Heller oven profiles

  •     
  • Evaluate paste screen condition, order as needed in conjunction with production personnel

  •     
  • Creates test plans and tests to engineering specifications.

  •     
  • Build simple test fixtures to support production testing.

  •     
  • Participates in product implementation and corrective actions related to electronic assemblies and test fixtures.

  •     
  • First level electronic test fixture troubleshooting and coordinates with engineering on corrective actions.

  •     
  • Performs nonconforming activities related to non-function electronic assemblies

  •     
  • Performs minor test fixture repairs that don’t require engineering support.

  •     
  • Procure material and tools needed to maintain electronics testing workspace

  •     
  • Performs related duties as assigned.



Job Requirements:




        
  • Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical engineering principles, mechanisms and techniques

  •     
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors and integrated circuits

  •     
  • Skill in using various electronic testing equipment and measuring devices

  •     
  • Skill in designing and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical products

  •     
  • Skill in reading engineering designs and specifications

  •     
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing



Educational/Experience Required:




        
  • Associates degree from an accredited institution/college or university in electrical engineering technology and 4 years work related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or related engineering experience.
