Canyon Lake Water Service Company is currently seeking Customer Service Representatives to join their team!

Employee will provide routine clerical work in the functions of customer service, operational activities and cash receipts. Canyon Lake Water Service Company is a state-regulated, investor owned utility providing water service to approximately 36,000 people through more than 13,400 connections in Comal and southern Blanco Counties.

Duties:

        
  • Primary recipient for all incoming phone calls and walk in customers.

  •     
  • Receive phone call and handle or direct as necessary.

  •     
  • When handling phone calls, or customer office visits concerning billing, water operations or service questions and complaints, determine when it is necessary to consult someone having higher authority for resolution.

  •     
  • Carefully take notes of information for trouble calls and emergencies to determine if CLWSC is responsible for repairs or if the customer must make repairs according to Company policy.

  • Take appropriate action.

  •     
  • Courteous and professional demeanor at all times as this position is in constant exposure to general public.

  •     
  • Transmit Service Application and Agreement as well as Account Status Change form and published rates and fees information, etc. to applicants via fax, US mail or email in response to phone request.

  •     
  • Must be well versed in Company's tariff and possess the ability to clearly explain these details to customers.

  •     
  • Receive Service Application and Agreement form and appropriate fees from new customers; explain rates, fees, billing practices, etc.

  •     
  • Receive all forms of payment due for water services and record into cash register.

  •     
  • Daily cash reconciliation.

  •     
  • Collect, open and sort contents of outside drop-box

  •     
  • Answer and communicate with operations crews on two-way radio


Required:


        
  • High School diploma or GED

  •     
  • Minimum of six months cash handling experience

  •     
  • Skill on operating cash register, computer, ten-key calculator, phone, base radio, fax and copy machines

  •     
  • Valid Texas driver's license


Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/8am-5pm Pay rate: $14/hour
