Hamilton-Ryker in Lexington, KY is looking for someone to work in the shipping and receiving department for a local company. Our Client makes plastic screens for the coal mine, rock quarry and diamond mine industries. These screens are made to order by size and dimension for each different client


Responsibilities and Duties

Job duties would include pulling product to complete orders for the day and packing them either on a skid or in bundles for Fed Ex or UPS. Qualified candidate would be using banding tools and a shrink wrap machine for skids ready to be shipped. Being able to read a tape measure would be a plus but not required as our client uses millimeters instead of inches so it’s easy to train someone to use the tape measures. At the end of the day and sometimes in the morning, whatever was milled that is not ready to ship, the candidate would put onto stock shelves to await the rest of the order to be completed in production.


  • Previous manufacturing experience and/or construction experience
  • Work in hot environment during summer months
  • Lift up to 50lbs repetitively
  • Must be able to team-lift up to 100 lbs., stand or walk for long periods of time, write and read English and to be fluent as well. (No Forklift Skills Required.)
  • Communicating regularly with co-workers
  • Work 10 -our shifts standing
  • Steel toe shoes/boots
  • Read tape measure proficiently
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Comply with substance abuse policy
